Introducing the ‘Coco Flower Crown’ Pattern in One Thimble

Well, the big day is finally here. My favourite online sewing magazine, One Thimble, has finally released it’s 8th issue today! And I’ve been impatiently waiting for this day, because I’m just so excited to share the ‘Coco Flower Crown’ pattern with you. And even more excited that this adorable project made it to the FRONT COVER!

It feels like such a long time since I pitched my flower and succulent headband pattern idea to One’s Thimble‘s amazing editor, Jen. I’m so glad she loved the idea, because I am really excited about sharing this project with as many people as possible. The ‘Coco Flower Crown’ is a step by step tutorial which teaches you how to sew and make five different felt flowers, and seven types of succulents.

I also give you detailed instructions on how to use the flowers and succulents to create a hair crown and a wristlet on a ribbon. The flowers can be worn in your hair or as a bracelet. And as an added bonus, you can also see how to cover and adorn an alligator clip with beautiful flowers too.

I love the versatility of this pattern. I love that you can create a whole range of different flowers and succulents, in a huge array of colours.

I love that you can use your creations for hair accessories, brooches, for wall art, hoop art, to adorn bags, clothing, and home decor. Really, you’re only limited by your imagination here!

So where can you get a copy of this pattern? It’s available exclusively over at One Thimble right now. You can purchase the pattern as a stand alone PDF document which will be sent to your inbox after purchase. And as much as I know you’ll love the pattern, you’ll get much more value for money, and so much more creative inspiration, if you choose to buy the full magazine, Issue 8 of One Thimble.

Here’s an overview of all the patterns available as part of the current issue. There’s so much inspiration, I don’t even know where to start!

One Thimble Issue 8 Patterns

Issue 8 of One Thimble contains 12 PDF patterns, two ‘meet the maker’ style interviews, three articles about teaching kids to sew, five articles about building a handmade business, plus a whole heap of ‘how to’ tutorials and general interest articles. And if you’re still not convinced, you can preview the magazine by clicking on this link.

Why am I going on about One Thimble so much? To be honest, I just love that this magazine is created by a fellow Aussie creative-business owner that I am lucky enough to be able to call a friend. I’m so inspired by Jen (and her magazine). I believe One Thimble is the perfect tool to bring all of us creative people together, where ever in the world we may be. It’s so wonderful to share a common love of sewing and craft with like minded people. And you’ll find people sharing lots of One Thimble greatness in the Sewing Enthusiasts Facebook Group. Pop over and join if you’d like to know more.

I’ll be bringing you more ideas, images and pattern hacks for the Coco Flower Crown in the next week. So stay tuned! Be sure to sign up to receive emails so you don’t miss anything. And if you make a project using the pattern, I’d be so thrilled to share it on Social Media for you. Get in contact via the Contact Tab. Post an image on the Molly and Mama facebook page wall. Or use the hashtag #CocoFlowerCrown and #MollyandMama on Instagram. There’s even a Pinterest board for the Coco Crown!
